With all three of the top weights coming from Ash Grounds, it was Bills Tackle’s Alan Lee who led the way at the Kevin Chapman Memorial Match.

The event was attended by 38 anglers and fished on Ash Grounds and Hill and Black with some good weights recorded in all sections.

The top three weights all came from Ash Grounds, led by Lee, who used pole and feeder to land F1s, bream and two carp from peg 33 for a total of 68-4-0. Mark Orrin (Braintree), on peg 40, landed three big carp from the margins to boost his weight to 58-0-0 for second place, while Mark Banks (Bills Tackle) had a mixed bag of 43-8-0 for third spot.

Mark Johnson (Lake John) was fourth with 37-8-0, Reece Hearn (Bills Tackle) fifth with 37-4-0 and Danny Mason (Bills Tackle) sixth with 35-0-0.

The match raised £615 for the British Heart Foundation and thanks went to Danny Rampley, who ran the match, James and Christine at the Fennes for the raffle and all who helped out.
