A loving father and grandfather described as “101 per cent farmer” had a packed send off by family and friends.
Nearly 200 people attended the funeral of Halstead farmer Wally Letham, 80, at Three Counties Crematorium.
Mr Letham, who was born and lived for most of his life in Halstead, died on Valentines day after a short illness.
The eldest of four boys, he married Margaret in 1957 and the couple had 50 happy years together.
They lived first at Sparrows Farm, Hedingham Road, Halstead, then moved along the road to Foxborough Hills, then to Brook Street Farm, Halstead.
