A PASSIONATE mother of two says she is bringing something "no one else in the county is offering” to Halstead with her new business.

Holly Holloway, 25, of Spansey Court, Halstead, is launching the business, Holly’s Haven, in early May.

Holly, a bank manager, was inspired to start a business to manage her work-life balance with two growing children, four-month-old baby Jessica, and five-year-old, Teddy.

After looking into the beauty therapy industry, Holly is now qualified and is trained to offer a Japanese Head Spa service.

She said: “I looked into becoming a beauty therapist, and the Japanese Head Spa grasped my interest.

“I don’t think anyone else in Essex is offering it.

“I thought there was a gap in the market, and I’m also a qualified carer, so I’ve always had that passion in me to help people feel confident and beautiful.

“I also loving learning new things, so I find the beauty industry is very creative and hands-on.”

According to Holly, a Japanese Head Spa is a holistic massage that focuses on the head, scalp, and neck.

It also cleanses and nourishes your hair, and it is claimed to improve your health, appearance, and be a relaxing experience.

Holly will offer the service from a refurbished room within her house, with select appointments being available from 7pm to 10pm in the weekday evenings.

A typical appointment will normally start with a consultation, where the customer makes themselves comfortable and Holly will use a specialist camera to analyse their scalp in detail.

The service is then tailored and Holly will help the customer choose the right hair oils and massage treatments for the session.

The customer will rest their head on a specialist sink, and the massage will start as the oils are carefully rubbed into the hair and scalp.

It will then be followed by a neck massage, a scalp steaming, and an arm and hand massage.

Treatments can run at 45, 60, or 90 minute periods.

Holly will offer a promotion for an hour-long treatment for £45 for the first two weeks of the business being open.

She said: “I’m very excited, I can’t wait, I want to practice more as I want to make sure I get it perfect for customers.

“I feel confident, excited, and just a little bit nervous.”
