PRIMARY school students were given the chance to show off their history knowledge in a celebratory after-school event.
Pupils of St Peter’s Primary School, in Sible Hedingham, held a history exhibition to showcase their work and enthusiasm for the subject.
Parents, carers, school governors and children were invited to the event to learn from all the year groups that took part.
As the images show, there were displays about dinosaurs, making modern Britain, and the school’s history.
Headteacher Nick Hancock said, "Feedback on the event from both children and parents has been positive.
“It was a pleasure to see so many parents and carers supporting our first subject exhibition.
“We are proud of the history curriculum that we have developed, and it was great to see the children's impressive historical knowledge and understanding from reception through to Year Six.”
Teacher James Taylor, who helped stage the event, said he was "pleased to see the children's passion, interest and love for the subject grow".
The school now plans to hold more exhibitions in the future to celebrate children's work and to help parents feel a part of their child’s learning.
