A MURDER-MYSTERY, popular kids' films and tribute acts are coming to Halstead's Empire Theatre as this year's programme continues.

Tomorrow, March 1, the venue will be showing the 12-rated A Haunting in Venice.

A retired Poirot reluctantly attends a séance. When one of the guests is murdered, the former detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets.

Doors open at 7.15pm for 7.45pm. All seats are £7.50.

The Wednesday matinee, on March 6, sees the second showing of the popular film The Great Escape, rated PG.

The films stars Michael Caine as an elderly resident in a care home who  decides to escape and travel to Normandy for the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

Doors open at 2pm for 2.30pm. All seats are £7.50.

The children's film on Saturday, March 9, is the U-rated Trolls Band Together.

Doors open at 10am for 10.30am. All seats are £3.

The Empire has also announced a live tribute show on Saturday, March 24.

Gary Barlow vs Robbie Williams will take to the stage in a spectacular show featuring two of the UK’s leading tribute artists.

The show will feature all the hits of both Gary and Robbie as well as Take That.
