DRIVERS may be forced to find a new route as roadwork are scheduled to close a village road this month.
America Road in Earls Colne is set to shut on June 20.
The road will be closed from its junction with Tey Road for a total of ten days.
The closure is required as broadband company Gigaclear works to install new fibre-optic broadband.
To bypass the closure, drivers will need to use Coggeshall Road, Upper Holt Street, Tey Road and vice versa.
Essex Highways said: “The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fibre optic broadband installation works are undertaken by Gigaclear.
“Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.”
