THE bunting was out at Care UK’s Colne View care home in Halstead for a special celebration to mark The Queen’s 90 birthday.
Everyone at the care home on Dame Mary Walk commemorated the historic occasion with a royal birthday party and neighbours from Priory Hall also dropped in to join in the fun.
Colne View head chef, Dan Rosu, produced a show-stopping birthday cake and there was a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday, followed by patriotic favourites such as God Save The Queen.
Omar Taylor, home manager at Colne View, said: “The Queen is a wonderful role model for many residents, and she is so well-loved and respected we simply had to host our very own celebrations for her 90th birthday.
"There was a great deal of excitement around the party and everyone had a lovely time marking this milestone in style.”
The celebration took place last Thursday.
