A man who kicked another man and bit his ear during a brawl outside Scenarios in Halstead has begun a 28-month prison sentence.
Curt Wilmerson, 31, knocked Barry Hall to the ground and bit his ear until Mr Hall screamed "he is trying to bite my ear off" outside the Trinity Street pub and club, Chelmsford Crown Court heard.
Witnesses said Mr Wilmerson was "Mr Angry" while Mr Hall was "Mr Timid" during the brawl, which also saw sister Clare Wilmerson throw a series of punches.
Miss Wilmerson, 32, of Tweed Close, Halstead, was handed an eight-month suspended jail sentence for violent disorder but avoided jail because she is a single mother caring for her son, aged three.
