Pupils got a taste of the wildside during a recent school trip.
Hedingham School’s A-Level biology students travelled to Daws Hall Field Study Centre in Lamarsh, near Sudbury, for a one day field day in September.
They leant about ecology and the environment through activities led by Simon Perry from the centre.
Student Paris Smale, 18, of Castle Hedingham said: “During our visit we took part in a diverse set of tasks, from using quadrats to estimate plant populations with, to sampling small mammal populations from traps - a task which was particularly enjoyed by many as we were actually allowed to release the mice back into the wild."
