A brave schoolgirl suffering from a brain tumour has returned to her studies after getting top marks in her GCSEs despite her illness.
Keira Dixon, 16, of Sible Hedingham, has joined the sixth form at Hedingham School.
Keira’s mother, Amanda Dixon, said she was proud of her daughter but said more needs to be done to raise awareness of cancer in children, particularly as it is Child Cancer Awareness Month.
Mrs Dixon said: “She is absolutely excited about being back in school although she has quite bad fatigue as a result of having radical radiotherapy.
“Her energy levels are not great but her intention is to be at school full time. She is very determined."
